The Central Market picture is backwards, according to Newell Hart's book, Hometown Sketches. The Grand Theatre marquee should be on the left of the picture. Don Greaves owned the IGA store, which also housed Rust Pastry Shop and Purser Meat Market, which was in back of the store. Central Market was between Oneida and 100 South on the west side of the street. At the time of this photo, Preston had a population of 4500 people, as indicated on the store front.
